How To Market Chiropractic Services

One of the reasons I started this business was because after speaking with clinic owners, I noticed a massive opportunity. That opportunity was the fact that most clinic owners are fantastic at helping people get better, but not as skilled when it comes to business and/or marketing. Health marketing is challenging and exciting. Here are my current top 5 tips for marketing your chiropractic services/clinic.

 

1. Have a website

 

Why, in 2018 (soon to be 2019), are there still clinics who do not have a website. Free websites, out of date websites, are almost just as bad. This makes you look unprofessional. If a patient sees you don't care about your website or store front, they aren't going to trust you to take care of their health. 

 

The good news,  this is easily fixed. Three months ago we started with a clinic in Toronto who had a website that was hijacked and full of nonsense. Fast forward to now, they have a 1300% increase in phone calls from Google, have literally THOUSANDS of potential patients finding their business who are looking for their services right now, and their business has been transformed. 

 

2. Have social media and use it.

 

Millions of people are on social media. You better bet that your potential patients are using it. Navigating the social landscape can be tricky, some clinic owners even take the easy way out and avoid social. Blaming their governing body for making the rules too strict. But this is the coward's way out. The rules are easy to play within. Follow our rule, post 20% salesy, 80% educational content and you will be growing fast. 

 

3. What you do in clinic matters

 

The in clinic experience is the easy part. Do you have a sign asking people to follow you? Does your front desk buy into your social/digital program? Do not invest in digital marketing unless you can get the team on board. When we look for clients, we audit them to ensure we are a great fit for one another. 

 

4. Get Google and Facebook Reviews

 

I constantly hear clinic owners complain about the amount of competition. I always flip this and allow them a different perspective. Instead of bitching about life being hard, focus on the solution. Social proof is an easy fix for this situation. When you want to order pizza, what do you do? You go to Google. Generally, you pick the top place with the most 5 star reviews. Be this place.

 

5. Use email marketing

 

90% of marketers count email marketing as their most powerful marketing channel, so why do most clinics ignore this? The answer is that they usually don't know where to start. I recommend starting by just doing a monthly email with your blog posts (you better have 2 or more blog posts per month) and keeping them up to date/educated on your services. Easy peasy!
